My Journey: From Average to Aiming Higher

Introduction:

Growing up in a typical middle-class environment, life unfolded with its predictable patterns. Schooling was routine, grades were average, and life, well, it was just that—Average. Little did I know that the spark of transformation would come from an unexpected source. In the heart of an average upbringing, where the routine was the melody and mediocrity of the canvas, I stumbled upon the extraordinary through the unlikeliest of avenues—sports. School days were a assortments of ordinary, woven with the threads of typical grades and everyday predictability.

In the 6th grade, I took a leap and joined the school sports team. Here, I encountered a P.T. Master, whose humility and a keen eye for talent were game-changers. Starting as a shot put player, Destiny had a different plan for me in the form of volleyball. The encouragement and guidance from my P.T. master became the cornerstone of my journey.

"A good sportsman knows that discipline is the key to excellence."

Balancing Act: Sports and Academics:

Contrary to the common belief that sports enthusiasts can't focus on academics, my P.T. Master insisted on discipline in all aspects of life. I managed to strike a balance, playing volleyball passionately while still securing decent grades, especially in subjects like Maths, Science, and English.

Unexpected in 10th Grade:

Throughout school, I balanced sports and academics, and never bothered about being an average student. The turning point came during the 10th-grade board exams. While I wasn't overly confident, a last-minute surge of preparation resulted in unexpectedly good scores, making me the school topper. It was a moment of pride not just for me but for my P.T. Master, who saw a sportsperson shine academically.

"Prayers and effort have the power to turn the ordinary into extraordinary."

11th and 12th:

Continuing with the 11th and 12th, I forged strong bonds with exceptional teachers. My physics sir, in particular, stood out for his humility and student-friendly approach. He wasn't just a teacher; he felt like a friend. The same sentiment extended to my computer science sir and math sir. They made those years memorable despite the challenging times, but the foundation laid in those years would prove crucial to my journey ahead.COVID hit during the 12th, and without board exams, my previous scores secured me the position of school topper again.

New Chapter: College and Beyond:

Entering a private engineering college, my interest shifted towards computer science and data science. The vision of pursuing a master's from esteemed institutions like IITs or NITs began to crystallize. With a somewhat clear vision—or so I believed—I embarked on a data science bachelor's course, harboring aspirations to pursue a master's in this field from a prestigious institution such as IITs or NITs.

Amidst my current bachelor's journey, I've had the profound fortune of crossing paths with exceptional individuals. One, in particular, has not only changed my life but has illuminated my path with vibrant, colorful lights of insight and inspiration.

"Passion is the key to unlocking doors you never knew existed."

Life-Changing Encounters:

I encountered profound personalities who became catalysts for change. A friend recommended a transformative book, "80% Mindset and 20% Skill" by Dev Gadhvi. Its teachings became the cornerstone of my evolving perspective.

"An averager is a comforter in disguise."

Finding the Writer Within:

While pursuing data science, I discovered a latent passion for writing and knowledge-sharing. Motivated to empower others, I designed a planner for myself. It wasn't just about organization; it was a commitment to cultivate habits that propel one toward success.

"Success is a journey, not a destination."

The 100-Day Challenge:

With a plan in hand, I embarked on a 100-day challenge. Reading a book and posting a blog daily became my regimen. The aim was to turn these tasks into ingrained habits, eliminating the need for daily monitoring.

"It takes 21 days to build a habit, but 100 days to make it a lifestyle."

Reflections and Future Aspirations:

Looking back, I realize my aspirations have always been about empowering others. Volleyball, sports, and photography have been my passions, and I found my professional calling in data science. Now, as I venture into the realm of motivation through writing, a new chapter unfolds.

"The passion and dream of your life will always drive you to a good and better life."

Final Thoughts:

Irrespective of the darkest days, the unwavering belief in the right path has been a guiding light. I envision a future where my journey inspires and uplifts others, and where the power of writing becomes a beacon of motivation. I hope, at some point, each one finds the right inspiration and brings their inner selves to their fullest potential with the right mindset.

"The only limit to our realization of tomorrow will be our doubts of today." - Franklin D. Roosevelt
